Mary Jane Shue, 68, of Star City passed away on November 6, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born on September 29, 1951 in Malvern to the late Boyd and Glenda Faye Deere McDaniel.
She attended Southside Baptist Church, was a retired school teacher and principal for the Little Rock School District, loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Matt Duke.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Shue of Star City; two sons, John David (Kayla) Maynard of Huntsville, Texas and Phillip (Buffy) Maynard of North Little Rock; daughter, Lindsey (David) McGough of Star City; brother, John (Gay) McDaniel of Little Rock; sister, Dianne (Larry) Hogue of Little Rock; nine grandchildren, Jacob Maynard, Addison Maynard, McKenzie Maynard, Dawson McGough, Colby McGough, Lilly McGough, Dax McGough, Kacie and Chloe; brother-in-law, Buddy Shue of Jacksonville and a niece, Michelle Kennedy.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 9 at 3 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Star City with Bro. Jarrod Pettit and son, Phillip Maynard officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home per the family’s request.
