Mary Lee Leek, 91, of Lenexa, Kansas, formerly of Dumas, Arkansas, passed away January 26, 2021 in Lenexa, Kansas.
She was born February 1, 1929 in Perry, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Flora Wesner and her husband, John Harvey Leek.
Mrs. Leek was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dumas where she served on administrative board and was a member of the choir and bereavement committee. She served on the Desha County Museum board, Walnut Lake Cemetery board and was a volunteer election poll worker for many years.
Survivors are two daughters, Cathy Lee (Fred) Vernor and Cindy Beverburg; one sister, Gay Buckholt; three grandchildren, John and Tyler Vernor and Haley Beverburg; and two great grandchildren, Corynn and Declen Vernor.
Friends may pay their respects from Friday, January 29, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Dumas.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 31, at 2 p.m. at Walnut Lake Cemetery with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating.
