Mary Olivia Trantham Whitten, 96, of Star City, passed away on June 28, 2019 in Benton.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church at Crigler and was a retired farmer.

Mrs. Whitten was born on April 6, 1923 in Cleveland County to the late, Delbert and Virginia Lee Ozmont Trantham.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Easel Cullis Whitten, twin infant daughters, three sisters, and three brothers.

She is survived by three children, Evelyn James of Benton, Cullis Whitten (Ann) of Cotter, and Johnnie Westerberg (Jim) of Conway; a very special niece, Wanda Boren (Brannon) of Benton and their three children; a niece, Jennie Rauls; nephew, Noel DeWeese of Star City and many other extended family and friends that she loved dearly. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City, on Tuesday, July 2 from 1:30 P.M. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. William Paul Wooley officiating. Burial will be at Leek Cemetery. Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
