Melba Mae Green Harrell, 80, of Hamburg, formerly of Eudora, died on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village.

She was born on October 27, 1938 in Kilbourne, Louisiana and was the daughter of the late Franklin Miles Green and Mable Pylant Green.

Mrs. Harrell, a daycare keeper for many years in Eudora, had a long-lasting, loving connection to a host of children in the community. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Hamburg. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, loved to do arts and craft projects, and being in the outdoors hunting, flower gardening, or working in the yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Bruce Harrell; three brothers, Marion, Nelson, and Harvey Green; two sisters, Frankie Humphrey and Opal Traylor; and a grandson, Michael Paul Ruth.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eugie Earl Harrell of Hamburg; two sons, Randy Earl Harrell and wife Elaine of Killeen, Texas and Kenneth Ray Harrell and wife Rennie, of West Monroe, Louisiana; two brothers, Bobby Green of Pine Bluff, and Danny Green of Kilbourne, Louisiana; a sister, Clovis Mabry of Eudora; five grandchildren, Natasha Paul, Danielle Jones and husband Josh, Destinee Harrell, Calvin (CJ) Hatfield, and Derek Harrell; three great-grandchildren, Dominique Paul, Sophia Paul, and Dorian Jones, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, at 9:30 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. at the Bishop-King Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora.
