Merle Bardin Kennedy Bee, 95, of Crossett, passed away on February 21, 2014 at Stonegate Villa Health & Rehab.
She was a business clerk for Ashley County Medical Center and enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing and traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Golden Voices.
Mrs Bee was born on April 16, 1918 in Oakland, La. and was the daughter of the late James Bithel and Jesse Murray Bardin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lloyd (PeeWee) Kennedy; grandsons, Keith Rogers, Jeffery Pierce Rogers; five sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Bee of Crossett; a daughter, JoAnn Kennedy Pierce of Crossett; a granddaughter, Suzan Rogers Baker (Randall Baker) of Nikiski, Alaska; a granddaughter-in-law, Kay Rogers of Gainsville, Fla; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Stefany, Amber, Lily, Colby and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held February 24 at 2 p.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Andy Connard officiating under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in Crossett. Visitation will be held February 24 from 11 a.m. until noon, prior to service at the funeral home.
