Mickey Wayne Cantrell, Sr., 62, of Dumas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2017.
He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for more than 40 years. His children, grandchildren and great grandchild were his greatest joys. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
Mr. Cantrell was born on March 4, 1955 in Dermott to the late Johnny Dueal and Joyce Geneva Hicks Cantrell.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Sue Elliott Cantrell of Dumas; a son, Mickey Cantrell, Jr. (Andria Jarrell Cantrell); a daughter, Mystie Cantrell; three grandchildren, Matthew Cantrell (Jessica Blasingame), Cody Cantrell and Paisley Cantrell; a great granddaughter, Chloe Cantrell; a brother, Ricky Cantrell; and six sisters, Brenda Anthony, Margaret Cook, Sheila Singleton, Darlene Boothe, Connie Wilson, and Lisa Singleton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Cantrell.
Services are being directed by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. A private homecoming ceremony will be held by his family.
