Minnie Pearl Nelson, 68, of Monticello, passed away September 24, 2020, at her home in Monticello.
She was born January 29, 1952, in Hamburg, to the late Walter Hill and Clara White Hill.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Billy Hill; a sister, Clarice Hill; and a grandson, Dakota Parks.
She was a longtime employee of Phillips Cleaning Company and was a Baptist. Minnie’s hobbies included doing yardwork and working rodeos but her greatest love was spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Thompson and Amanda Collier both of Monticello; two sisters, Joan Hair of Monticello and Ruth Palmer of Mississippi; four grandchildren, Destiny Hartley, Austin Parks, Brittany Thompson and Sierra Parks; four great grandchildren, Paisley Coke, Annalize Thompson, Aubry Kennedy and Audri Parks; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service following Covid-19 guidelines will be held Saturday, September 26, at 4 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with Rev. Zan Pierce officiating. Burial will be at the Hamburg Cemetery. A visitation be held Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
