The University of Arkansas at Monticello chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for education majors, and the UAM School of Education, recently presented books to the library at Monticello Intermediate School as part of “Books for Boys,” a campaign to encourage reading among boys grades three and up. The books are classified as non-fiction and realistic fiction and are recommended by the new National Common Core Standards. UAM will make a similar presentation next week to the Drew Central Elementary School library.
