From The Monticello Fire Department:

We would like to say thank you to everyone that came to help with the Burlington fire. We would like to start with the Fire departments that came and helped; Lacey/Ladelle, Collins/Cominto, Tillar, Winchester, Selma, Warren, Dumas, Dermott, and the Ark. Forestry Commission. These agencies provided 20 pieces of firefighting equipment with over 60 firefighting personnel. We would also like to thank the Monticello Police Department, Drew County Sheriff’s office, and Arkansas Department of Transportation for helping with traffic and crowd control which allowed us to move around the structure as we needed. Also thank you to SEEMS and MASI ambulance services for being there for medical support.

We would like to say thank you for the support from the community. Thank you to Fastenal for the bottled water, Reggie’s lock and key for the burgers from Ray’s, Young’s for the Bar-b-que sandwiches, Sonic for the burgers, tots, and waters, A&M Rental and Mazzio’s for the pizza’s, 2nd Baptist church for the snacks and drinks, and to O&M oil for fuel delivery on scene. We would also like to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers while we worked. If we have left anyone out, we are sorry. Know that we appreciate the community support. Thank you for standing behind us as we work to keep Monticello, Drew County, and the surrounding areas safe.

Thank you from the Monticello Fire Department and Chief Kelly Reid
