An 18-year-old Monticello man was arrested Thursday in connection with the January 4 shooting death of Robert Mosher, 21, also of Monticello.
Damarcus Veasey is being held on suspicion of capital murder and committing a terroristic act, according to a news release from the Monticello Police Department.
Police received a call around midnight regarding a shooting at Pilgrim Rest Apartments. When officers arrived, they discovered that Mosher had been shot. He sustained a single gunshot wound. Mosher was transported by ambulance to Drew Memorial hospital, then flown by helicopter to a Little Rock hospital where he died later that day, police said.
Following an investigation by Monticello Police and the Arkansas State Police, U.S. marshals arrested Veasey in North Little Rock. He was arrested Thursday, shortly before 5 p.m.
