A Monticello woman was arrested last week in what the 10th Judicial District Drug Task Force is calling a significantly large prescription drug fraud conspiracy.
Amanda Hoover, 30, of Monticello is suspected of obtaining narcotic prescriptions by fraud and is charged with 37 counts of the crime, according to news release from the Drug Task Force.
Hoover has been released on a $10,000 bond.
“This arrest is only the first arrest in this case,” said Lt. Jason Akers, DTF supervising agent. “It will not be the last arrest related to this case. We expect more significant arrests to follow within the next few weeks.”
