A Monticello woman died following a head-on collision Sunday in Monticello, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report.
Kristi Prince, 44, of Monticello was traveling north on U.S. 425 around 6:20 p.m. when the 2018 Nisson she was driving was struck by a southbound 2000 Buick, according to the report.
According to the accident report, the Buick crossed the centerline and collided with the Nisson.
Prince died in the crash. The driver of the Buick, Lucan Naron, 18, of Crossett, was injured, according to the report.
The weather was clear and the roadway was dry when the crash occurred.
At least 121 people have been killed on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
