Morris Dean Bryant, 76, of Warren lost his battle with cancer with loved ones by his side on July 24, 2016 at Chapel Woods Health and Rehabilitation in Warren.
He was a gentleman, a Baptist, and an individual blessed with good parents and a desire to always be fair to his fellow man.
Mr. Bryant followed in his father’s footsteps by choosing a career with Potlatch Corporation, where he would later become plant services superintendent. It was at Potlatch where he met his wife of 43 years, the former Debbie Kelley, whom he married on July 20, 1973. He opted to take advantage of an early retirement program in 1991 and had more than 20 years to enjoy some of his favorite hobbies, including golf, horse racing, and collecting vintage fishing lures.
He was born on March 31, 1940 and the son of the late Gordon Tolbert Bryant and Gertrude Grice Bryant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an older brother, Raymond Bryant; his father-in-law, J. W. Kelley, Jr.; and two beloved granddogs, Tinker and Cocoa.
A loving, caring, and supportive husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife Debbie; one daughter, Leslie Reep and husband Keanon of Warren; one granddaughter, Karley Zena Reese Reep of Warren; mother-in-law, Frances Kelley of Warren; one brother, Garland Bryant and wife Bobye Ann of Warren; two sisters, Shirley Smalling and husband Dennis of Rogers and Barbara Johnson and husband James of Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on July 27 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Rev. Gene Boyette officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
