Morgan Nall, a Drew Central High School sophomore, has been nominated as alternate to the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) World Leadership Congress in Chicago. Nall was nominated for the Arkansas HOBY Leadership Congress through Drew Central at a leadership meeting in Bentoville earlier this month when she was selected from a field of 164 participants across the state.
The selection process was based on leadership qualities and an interview. The World Leadership Congress (WLC) will be scheduled for July 21-28th at Loyola University in Chicago where she will join more than 400 future national and international leaders, exploring and debating what best exemplifies the qualities of a leader. Founded in 1958, HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop the global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation. HOBY programs are conducted annually throughout the United States, serving local and international high school students. HOBY programs provide youth selected by their schools to participate in unique leadership training, service-learning and motivation-building experiences. Nall is the daughter of Rodney and Amanda Nall of Monticello. She is seeking donations to help fund the trip. For more information, call Amanda Nall at 870-723-2373 or Morgan Nall at 870-723-0666.
