Nancy Jane McBryde, 77, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home.
She was a long-time member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She loved spending hours working in her yard and her flowers were always beautiful. She never met a stranger and loved her sweets. She was a retired school bus driver, wife mother and homemaker.
Mrs. McBryde was born on February 24, 1941 in Glendale to the late James Leroy (Roy) Chambers and Esther Annette Williams Chambers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jamie Ingram, and her brother, Charles Chambers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Joe Allen McBryde; a son, Jeffrey Allen (Renée) McBryde of Palmyra; two daughters, M’Leah Nan (Bobby) Donaldson and Melanie Jane (Brad) Bainter, all of Benton; six grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth (Seth) Hinkson, Robert “Austin” Donaldson, Jacob Allen McBryde, Mallory Grace Donaldson, Lauren Hope Bainter and Brandon “Matthew” Bainter; and 2 great-grandchildren, Luke Brenden Hinkson and Elijah Joe Hinkson.
A celebration of Mrs. McBryde’s life will be held on Sunday, November 4, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Palmyra with Bro. John Marlar and Bro. Carlin Gray officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. followed by the service at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
In honor of her life, memorials can be made to Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Our family is deeply grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and affection shown to us during this very difficult time.
