Nathan Henry Tanksley, 54 of Crossett, died January 1, 2014 at the Ashley County Medical Center.
He was a disabled logger, member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Crossett, and an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting.
Mr. Tanksley was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Travis & Mary Maudie Lee Hennington Tanksley; one brother Jerry Dewayne Tanksley; brother-in-law, Wayne Johnson; his father and mother in-law, Kenny and Helen Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Tanksley; one son, Nathan Henry Tanksley and wife Hope of Hamburg; one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Carrion and husband Rudy of Crossett; four brothers, Willie Tanksley and wife Dona of Stuttgart, Terry Tanksley and wife Cheryl of Bastrop, La., Phillip Tanksley and wife Jackie, and Frankie Tanksley, all of Crossett; three sisters, Shelby Parker and husband Carroll, Cathy Johnson, Donna Johnson and husband Tim, all of Crossett; three grandchildren, Tyler, Natalie and Matthew Tanksley and a host of nieces, nephews, family and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held January 4 at 11 a.m. at New Life Pentecostal Church with Bro. Ricky Pack & Bro. Norman Riordan officiating. Pallbearers are Dennis Murphy, Rodney Austin, Darren Minnieweather, Jarrett Sams, Jonathan Lum , and Chad King. Honorary pallbearers are nephews.
Burial will be at Promise Land Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
