Nellie Hankins Raley, 99, of Star City died February 12, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Raley was born February 5, 1915 in Calmer and was the daughter of the late William Marcus and Lennie Mae Rodgers Hankins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Thomas Raley; brothers, W.T. Hankins and Wilbur Hankins; sisters, Lyda Mae McClellan, Hazel Reed and Bernice Oakley.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie (Cheryl) Raley and Billy (Patricia) Raley, all of Star City; two daughters, Joy (the late, Neal) Moreland of Dumas and Virginia (Billy) Rose of Farmington; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held February 14 at noon at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. Steve Hoskins officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time.

Burial will be at Drake Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Randy Raley, Tim Rose, Mike Moreland, Scott Moreland, Kenny Oakley and Johnny Good.

The family would like to thank the staff, friends and adopted grandchildren at Gardner Nursing Center for all the many years of loving care of Mrs. Raley.
