Norma Lou Phillips, 67, of Rohwer, died February 14, 2015.

She was born in Okfuskee, Oklahoma and was the daughter of the late Huely and Ethel Foster Pinion. She worked in the sporting goods department at Wal Mart for many years and was an in-home sitter and caregiver for many people for more than 20 years. She also worked at Execter Hospital when she lived in California. She loved animals.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon C. Phillips; her sisters, Betty Jean Pinion, Carol Sue Pinion, Bertha Irene Smith, Marcella Colleen Dotson; and a great-grandson, Louis Alexander Johnson, Jr.

Survivors include a son, Damon Phillips and his wife Kelsie of McGehee; her daughters, Christina Phillips of Rohwer and Sherrie Clemons of Watson; her brothers, Glen Pinion and Kenny Pinion both of California; her sisters, Kay Youngblood, Wanda Ayers and Odelene Wyatt all of California; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be February 16 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral services will be held on February 17 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial at Kelso Cemetery.
