Norman Deannie Roper, 69, of Monticello passed away June 7, 2021.

He was born February 22, 1952, in California and was the son of the late Norman and Coy Roper. His parents, brother Jeffery Roper and sister Barbara Moore preceded him in death.

Norman was a Baptist and retired from farming in 2011.

Survivors are his wife, Phyllis Roper of Monticello; son, Edward Lee (Wendy) Roper of Dumas; daughters, Tracie (Cecil Jr.) Say of Monticello and Jeniffer (Johnny) McDaniel of Monticello; brother, Larry Roper of Dumas; two sisters, Joyce Parker of Tennessee and Gloria Lynn Hawkins of Dumas; and 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home with Brother David Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Dark Corner Cemetery.
