Norman L. “Donnie” Kellum, 90, of Monticello, passed away January 2, 2021, at the Woods Nursing and Rehab in Monticello.
He was born August 21, 1930, in Lyon, AR to the late I.J. “Tode” Kellum and Christerlene Burchfield Kellum.
Mr. Kellum was a retired skidder driver for Burton Nowlen Logging and a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. He loved squirrel hunting but was known for being quite the crappie fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha June Crain Kellum; one sister, Annette Hall; one brother, Harold Kellum; a son-in-law, Harrell Rhodes, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, George Washington Kellum and Sarah Sparks Kellum; and his maternal grandparents, Luther L. Burchfield and Laura Dingler Burchfield.
Survivors include three daughters, Gina Rhodes and Gayle Brown (Bobby) all of Monticello and Michelle Lay (Randy) of Garrett Bridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Helen Crain of Memphis, Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Barry Hall of Monticello; one grandson, Brandt Brown of Monticello; one granddaughter, Lillian Lay of Garrett Bridge; one great granddaughter, Landree Kate; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 6, at 1 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.
