Stephanie Norris, who works in the administrative offices of Drew Memorial Hospital, was named the hospital’s hero of the month for going above and beyond the call of duty when she delivered dinner to the family of a patient who had surgery at Drew Memorial Hospital. After providing the family with dinner, Norris cleaned their kitchen. In act of kindness to another patient, Norris sat with the patient at their home when the patient’s spouse had to run some errands. “Also, Stephanie has been named by other patients and family members for being very courteous and helping them acquire services needed while at the hospital and taking care of their questions over and beyond their expectations,” said Drew Memorial Hospital chief executive officer Mike Layfield. Norris’ community volunteer activities include Monticello Junior Auxiliary, Relay for Life, and American Cancer Society.
