The nude body of a man floating in the Mississippi River near Desha County was recovered over the weekend by Mississippi officials after Arkansas Game & Fish warden Chuck Willis discovered that the body had floated to the Mississippi side of the river, according to Desha County Coroner Joe Wilkin.

Wilkin said he received a report from an area fisherman that there was a body in the river and an effort was underway to recover the body when Willis discovered that the body had floated to the Mississippi  side of the river. Willis then notified the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office which then recovered the body. The body was nude except for a watch on the wrist, Nike tennis shoes and socks.
