A Southeast Arkansas man was killed and another was injured Sunday in a single-car accident on Wolfe Project Road in Desha County.
Nathan Kellebrew, 20, of Star City, was killed and Johnathan Golden, 17 of Lake Village, was injured in the accident, according to a State Police report.
According to the State Police report, Golden was negotiating a right hand curve at 2:40 a.m. Sunday on Wolfe Project Road at Arkansas Highway 1 when he lost control of the southbound 1999 Pontiac Grand Am he was driving. After Golden lost control of the vehicle, it left the road, hit a railroad sign, crossed the tracks and flipped, according to the report.
Kellebrew, a passenger in the Grand Am, was killed. Golden was transported to the McGehee hospital.
The State Police report lists Kellebrew’s residency as Star City. His obituary identifies him as a McGehee resident.
