Oscar “Buster” Lavon Hunsaker, Jr., 47, of Star City, passed away November 4, 2020.
He was born May 17, 1973 in Little Rock.
Mr. Hunsaker was a maintenance worker for Arkansas State Parks and a volunteer firefighter for Hardin Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. He also loved dirt track racing, whether he was the driver or a spectator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar “BoBo” Hunsaker, Sr. and Rachel Manes Gullett.
Survivors include his wife, Whitney Hunsaker of Star City; three sons, Robert (Elizabeth) York of Jefferson, Patrick Hall of Jefferson and William McWilliams of Sheridan; a daughter, Madison York of Jefferson; a brother, Tim Brown of Star City; four sisters, Louise (Robert) Wells of Star City, Donna Hunsaker of Star City, Connie (Larry) Phillips of Pine Bluff and Mary (Patrick) Byrd of Star City; three grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews; 41 great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 8 at 2 p.m. at the Griffin Funeral Chapel with Mrs. Adrienne Moss officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are David Shinn, Heath Steinman, Cody Noble, Cameron Graham, Jesse Lofton, Talon Hendricks, Kevin Steinman and Brenden Boothe.
