Pamela Ann Hudson

Pamela Ann Hudson, 60, of Monticello, went to be with her Lord April 9, 2021, at her home in Monticello.

She was born May 20, 1960, in Dumas to Lawrence Edwin (Larry) Hudson and Beverly Ann Smith Hudson.

She was an administrative assistant at Delta Counseling Associates, Inc. and a member of Agape Church in Little Rock. Pam graduated from Monticello High School in 1978 and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She was known for her loving nature, her devotion to her family and friends, and a wonderful sense of humor.

Deeply dedicated to her family, Pam was beloved by her nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She loved family gatherings at the lake and during the holidays. Her easy-going demeanor made the gatherings memorable.

During high school she enjoyed being a majorette and a member of the flag line. After graduating high school, she directed numerous beauty pageants in the state and owned her own dance studio where she taught modern, jazz and tap dancing. Later in life she owned the Athletic Club in Monticello.

Pam loved being a mother, listening to blues music, watching live music with her dad, shopping with her mom, crafting, painting, fishing, spending time reading with Ava Page and taking care of her two little dogs.

Despite battling cancer, Pam was determined to remain optimistic. On April 9, 2021, she passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family surrounding her.

Pam is survived by one son, Randal Hasting Hobbs (Sydney) of Sherwood; one granddaughter, Ava Clair Page of Sherwood; her parents, Larry and Beverly Hudson of Monticello; one brother, Bubba Hudson (Beth) of Tillar; and two nephews, John Christian Hudson and Peyton Hudson of Memphis, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 12, at 3 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel in Monticello. There will be a visitation preceding the service from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tyro Cemetery in Drew County.
