Pamela Jean Busic, 68, of Star City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
She was the wife of Henry Clay Busic and beloved mother of her only child, Richard Shane Lowry. She was a lifelong resident of Star City where she owned and operated Pam’s Beauty Boutique for 20-plus years. Pam was always known to be a strong, independent, outspoken, and protective lady. After raising her only son, she gave her time and love to help raise her nieces and nephew, who loved and adored her.
In 2015, Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her strong will, positive attitude, and her faith in the Lord allowed her to overcome and be declared cancer free. Due to her illness she became involved with the Susan G. Komen organization and attended several events to help raise money for the cause. She was also an active member of First Baptist Church in Star City.
Preceding her in death were her parents Toney Smith and Evans Creighton Smith.
Other than her husband, Henry, her son, Shane, and daughter-in-law, Angela, she is also survived by her sister, Margaret Ann Cole, and brother-in-law, Everett; nieces, Katrina Burton Sidwell; Lauren Fern Burton; Sydney Danyelle Loveless; Kathy Ledbetter, her husband Dennis; and Sharon Allen, her husband Lee; nephews Johnathon Rodger Loveless; Mark Cole, his wife Teresa; David Cole, his wife Sidey; seven great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
Pam will be missed dearly, not only by her large and devoted family but her many friends that knew and loved her. She will be most missed by her life partner and husband, Henry.
Visitation services will take place at Griffin Funeral Home in Star City on Tuesday, July 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The celebration of her life will take place at First Baptist Church in Star City on Wednesday, July 3 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Marcus Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Springs Cemetery at Coleman (Drew County).
All family and friends are invited to attend the services and celebrate the life of Pamela Jean Busic, a woman loved by many.
