Pantha Elizabeth “Liz” Aaron, 83, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro.
She was born June 27, 1938, in Horatio, Arkansas to the late Jake Daniel and Ritta Essie Tate.
Mrs. Aaron was the wife of Billy Ray Aaron. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Eudora, a homemaker, and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be very much missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven brothers, Lee Hilton, Jesse Sharp, Floyd Tate, Troy Tate and wife Gladys, Carl Tate and wife Wilma, Jerry Tate, and Robert Tate; and sister, Ritta Holiman.
She is survived by her daughter, Penny Aaron; grandchildren, Nicole Groeteke (Dylan), Daniel Aaron (Amber), and Natalie Aaron; great-grandchildren, Braden Ashley, Brooke Ashley, and Addyson Groeteke; sisters, Jakie Gibson and Linda Gosney (James); brother in law, JM Holiman; sister in law, Dale Tate; honorary daughter, Mary Leshe; honorary grandson, Houston Chapman; honorary granddaughter, Brittany Garcia; special niece, Cynthia Ray; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Due to an illness in the family, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
