Parnell Jordan, 92, of Crossett, passed away on July 31, 2014 at Ashley County Medical Center.

Mr. Jordan was a mechanic for more than 50 years at Jordan’s Garage with his brothers and loved to tinker with clocks and other mechanical devices. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.

Mr. Jordan was born in Crossett on May 6, 1922 and was the son of the late Charlie and Ollie Pogue Jordan.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Willie Belle Jordan; a son, John Earl Jordan; an infant daughter, Barbara Nell Jordan and several siblings, Eula Belle Brantley, Annie Morman, J. B. Jordan, LeroyJordan, Delton Jordan, Pete Johnston, Myrtle Willis, Royce Jordan, Green Jordan and Delmar Jordan.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Bonnie Jordan of Crossett; a brother, Perry Jordan of Crossett; a sister, Pauline McClain of El Dorado; two granddaughters, Janel Harper (Scott), Johnette Hanry (Lance), all of Crossett; four great-grandchildren, Colby Harper, Mason Harper, Payton Smith (Scott) and Jon Erik Hanry; two great great-grandchildren, Memphis Smith and Brentlee Hanry.

Funeral services will be held August 2 at 2 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Crossett with Bro. Colby Harper and James Harrington officiating. Interment will follow at Egypt Cemetery.
