Patricia Ann Roberts, 82, of Wilmot, died on her birthday, September 26, 2016, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
She was a native of Ashley County; a resident of Wilmot for the past 23 years and a former resident of Sacramento, California. She was a journalist and worked for the Bastrop Enterprise, Monroe News Star and Northeast Pow Wow Newspapers. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid fisherman.
She is preceded in death by her father, Emory Martin and her mother, Alma Carroll Martin Blocker; a sister, two brothers and a daughter-in-law, Dana Roberts.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Roberts of Hamburg and Tony Roberts and wife, Amanda, of Bastrop, Louisiana; two brothers, Joe Blocker of Hamburg and James Blocker of Seattle, Washington; five grandsons, Joshua Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Damian Roberts, Jeremy Roberts and Philip Roberts; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on September 28 at 3 p.m. at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Luellen officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joshua Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Damian Roberts, Jeremy Roberts, Philip Roberts and Troy Bryan.
