Patricia Lee Bates Walker, 79, of Monticello died on May 5, 2017 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was a retired school bookkeeper, an active member of the Pauline Baptist Church in Monticello where she was a member of the Dorcas Group, and was a member of the Suburban Women’s Club in Orlando, Florida where she had lived most of her life.
Mrs. Walker was born on June 29, 1937 in Evanston, Illinois to the late Orval Blaine Bates and the late Mary Miller Bates.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Walker; a brother, Larry Bates; and a sister, Janice Rice.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Walker of Monticello; two sons, William (Olga) Walker of Seattle, Washington and Richard (DeeDee) Walker of Pansy; three daughters, Mary (Barry) Marrs of Bella Vista, Virginia (Verner) Kiernan, and Dianna (Kelly) Chambers all of Star City; a brother, David Bates of Palmdale, California; 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Pauline Baptist Church in Monticello. Funeral services will follow visitation at 4 p.m.
Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery near Star City. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
