A helicopter piloted by Skip Cartwright of Sherwood flies low over Hyatt Field in Monticello as approximately 2,500 spectators watch the helicopter drop 2000 Easter eggs on the football field. The event was held  April 1 as a part of the Pauline Baptist Church’s “I HEART Monticello” initiative. Children picked up 6,000 eggs one minute and 22 seconds according to organizers. Kids ages 2-8 years old were invited to participate in the free, community-wide  Easter Egg Drop.
