Peggy Ann Dowdy McCoy, 66, of Star City, passed away on April 2, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
She was a member of Overcoming Faith Worship Center, was a retired postal clerk for the United States Postal Service and a member of the Postal Union. She loved sewing, cooking, crafts, loved her family and was a woman of faith.
Mrs. McCoy was born on May 1, 1952 to the late Jesse Dowdy, Jr. and Lillie Ree Rogers.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Greg McCoy.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry A. McCoy of Star City; son, Jeremy R. (Sarah) McCoy of Nashville, Tennessee; three daughters, Jessica Morgan White and Whitney Morgan, both of Star City, and Kayla D. McCoy of Nashville, Tennessee; a brother, Bill (Gwen) Dowdy of Star City; a sister, Linda Dowdy (Dennis) Black of Clinton; stepmother, Sheila Dowdy of Star City; two stepsisters, Kimberly Combs of Star City and Lisa Cater of Monticello; and two grandchildren, Dilan Threlkeld of Malvern and Mia McCoy of Nashville, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Griffin Funeral Home in Star City.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Don Borland officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
