Phillip Wayne Hopson

Phillip Wayne Hopson, 69, of White Hall, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 surrounded by his loving family in Sheridan.

He was born September 6, 1952 in Jefferson County to the late Otis and Mary Clifton Hopson.

Mr. Hopson was a past supervisor at Central Maloney and retired from Gardner’s Nursing and Rehabilitation as maintenance supervisor. He was a United State Marine veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Star City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and camping at his favorite spot, Lake DeGray.

Also preceding him in death was one brother, Curtis Hopson.

Survivors include is wife, Connie Hopson of White Hall; son, Troy King (Cassie) of Memphis, Tennessee; three daughters, Amy Allen (Kris) of Sheridan, Tonya Hopson of Hot Springs, and Sarah Olsen; one brother, David Hopson (Jane) of White Hall, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Cremation services have been chosen by the family and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to, Phil Hopson Go Fund Me, to help cover medical expenses accrued during his fight with cancer.
