A Lake Village man was fatally shot Thursday at Eudora and police are searching for the suspect.

Cordera Jackson, 33, of Lake Village, died Thursday following a domestic disturbance that occurred at 2217 Roosevelt Street in Eudora, according to an Arkansas State Police news release.

Eudora police officers responded to the residence around 2:20 p.m. when they found Jackson outside the house. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:10 p.m.

A search for the shooting suspect continued into the night after police spotted the suspect who fled into a wooded area near the scene of the shooting. The suspect is believed to still be armed.

Jackson’s body will be transported to the State Crime Laboratory where a manner and cause of death will be determined.

State police special agents are continuing their investigation of the shooting and will submit an investigative file to 10th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Thomas Deen seeking a warrant for arrest.
