Korey and Denise Davis

Tenth Judicial District Prosecutor Thomas Deen, a former judge, performed the marriage of Korey Davis and his new bride Denise at the Drew County Detention Center on Thursday, the day after Davis was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

A Drew County jury convicted Davis of felon in possession of firearm on Wednesday but deadlocked on the punishment and Circuit Judge Sam Pope sentenced him as a habitual offender to 18 years in prison. Chief Deputy Prosecutor Frank Spain prosecuted the case.
