R. A. Grider, 72, of Warren, died July 9, 2014 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

Mr. Grider was was a Baptist and served in the US Army. He was an award winning car salesman, a avid gardener and a well known domino player and loved to cook for the needy.

He was born August 10, 1941 at Crigler and was the son of the late Lester Grider and Maggie Spakes Grider. He was a graduate of the Woodlawn High School.

He is survived by a son, David Grider and wife Adriana of Warren; three daughters, Melinda Hartzog of Heber Springs, Jamie Huitt of Tumbling Shoals, and Melissa Grider of Monticello; three brothers, Sonny Grider of Benton, James L. Grider of Pine Bluff, and John Grider of Pansy; four sisters, June Ruth Saint of Pine Mountain, Ga., Peggy Grider of Houston, Texas, Barbara Grote of Missouri, and Joan Perry of Warren; 10 grandchildren; and a caregiver, Judy Watson of Warren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Grider; three brothers, Grady Grider, Jackie Grider and Kenneth Grider; and a sister Kathy Clemens.

Funeral services will be held July 12 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Burial with flag presentation ceremony will be held at Rowell Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation is July 11  from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home.
