Ralph Johnson

Ralph Edward Johnson, 83, of Hamburg, died March 3, 2014 at his residence.

He was a native of Crossett and a resident of Hamburg. He was a retired shipping clerk for Georgia Pacific Paper Mill, a member of Cloverdale Assembly of God and served  in the United States Army.

Mr. Johnson enjoyed raising cattle and hogs. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Fulton and Cleo Sutton Johnson; two brothers, Alton and Lane Johnson; five sisters, Jean, Jane, Ione, Thelma and Elvie Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Clark Johnson; four sons, Joey Johnson and wife Karen, Dusty Johnson and wife Erin, of Crossett, Kerry Johnson and Mark David, both of Hamburg; one brother, Dewain Johnson and wife Dorothy of Hamburg; one sister, Laverne Johnson of Marianna; six grandchildren, David Lee, Andrew and wife Jennifer Johnson, Kallina Johnson, Amy Campbell, Alicia Ratliff and husband Joe, and Micky Kinney; 16 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services will be held March 6 at 2 p.m. at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. John Martin and Bro. Zac Coffman, officiating.

Pallbearers are Bob Sellers, Ronnie McDonald, Jeff King, Rusty Little, Leroy Jones and Kavin Burnett.

Honorary pallbearers are James Harrington, Billy Harrington, Charlie Courson and Kenny Rusthell.

Burial will be at Arkadelphia Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Viewing will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. March 5 at Cromwell Funeral Home.
