Ramona Barley Breedlove, 58, of Eudora, died August 9, 2021, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi.
She was born July 24, 1963, in Lake Village to the late Daniel A. Barley Jr. and Elizabeth Jane (Greer) Barley. She married James F. Breedlove on November 20, 1981, at North Side Baptist Church Eudora.
Ramona was a secretary for many years at GC John’s Elementary School before working as a teller at the Eudora bank. For the last several years she worked with James in their farming operation.
Ramona was a member of Hill Baptist Church in Oak Grove, Louisiana where she taught Sunday school for many years. Most recently she was the nursery coordinator and taught the nursery Sunday school class where she was known as Mrs. Mona.
She was an avid outdoorswoman who always killed bigger bucks than the boys. She carried on her dad’s tradition of being one of the best shots in the family. Ramona was also a passionate fan of her beloved Razorbacks.
She is survived by her husband, James F Breedlove of Eudora; one daughter, Kristy Breedlove of Bryant; one son, James Scott (Annie) Breedlove of Monroe, Louisiana; her mother, Elizabeth Jane (Greer) Barley of Eudora; a sister: Rebecca Ann Barley of Eudora; a brother, Richard (Diana) Barley of Rye; a grandson, Eli Baker; and a host of nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Barley White.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 12 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Hill Baptist Church, 412 Hill Church Rd, Oak Grove, Louisiana. A funeral will be held Friday, August 13 at 10 a.m. at the Hill Baptist Church with Bro Leslie Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora.
