Rava Lee Taylor Reed, 94, of Hamburg, died November 6, 2020.
Mrs. Reed was a native of the Hopewell community outside of El Dorado; a resident of Hamburg since 2008 and a former resident of El Dorado for many years. She was a graduate of Parkers Chapel High School.
Mrs. Reed loved the Lord with all her heart. She and her husband were charter members of the Trinity Baptist Church in El Dorado and she spent many years teaching three year olds in Sunday shool. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, but her greatest joy was when they accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Reed in 2014; her parents, J.O. and Ettie Mae Taylor; two brothers, Jim Taylor and Lavon Taylor.
She is survived by two daughters, Lequieta Endel and husband, Bob, of Hackleburg, Alabama and Jamie Badertscher and husband, Doug, of Sarasota, Florida; a sister, Syble Barker of El Dorado; three grandchildren, Reed Endel and wife, Hannah, Courtney Lovelace and Paul Badertscher and wife, Kate; four great-granddaughters, Morgan Boles, Marlee Boles, Mason Boles and Alex Endel and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank Bobby and Myrtle Kilcrease for the love and care shown to Mr. and Mrs. Reed and Somerset Rehabilitation Center and their staff for the wonderful care they provided to Mrs. Reed.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, at the Arlington Memorial Park in El Dorado with Doug Badertscher officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Taylor, Gary Don Taylor, Bruce Woolsey, Mike Shoup, Reed Endlel and Paul Badertscher.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:45 until 2 p.m. at the cemetery.
