Ray O. Dawson, Jr., 73, of North Little Rock, formerly of Monticello, passed away on November 4, 2018, at his home.
He was a retired broadcast engineer for Snyder Telecom, former part owner of KHBM Radio of Monticello, a United States Army Veteran and was of the Methodist faith. While in Monticello, Ray was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America, former President of the Monticello Little League and was a member of the Kiwanis Club.
He was born June 12, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas to the late Ray Otis Dawson, Sr. and Ruby Norene Adcock Dawson.
Survivors include his wife, Carol L. Belcher Dawson of North Little Rock; two sons, Roddy Dawson of Conway and Jeff Dawson of North Little Rock; and five grandchildren, Jack and Ava Dawson of Conway and Drake, Reece, Gabi Dawson of Bryant.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, November 10, at 11 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 9 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors or Salvation Army.
