Raymond Wyatt Beatty, 97, of Watson passed away on March 16, 2019 in Monticello.
He was a retired farmer and a WWII U.S. Army veteran who served from 1943 until 1945. He was a member of Watson Baptist Church.
Mr. Beatty was born on November 4, 1921 in North Little Rock to the late Wyatt M. and Helen Crocket Beatty.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Hill Beatty and one son, Paul Beatty.
Survivors are three sons, George (Brenda) Beatty of Star City, Joe (Donna) Beatty of Watson, Steven (Teresa) Beatty of Tucker; daugher-law, Rhonda Beatty (Paul’s widow) of Watson; four daughters, Margaret (Dwain) Dillion of DeWitt, Ray Nell (Tommy) Selman of Pine Bluff, Ethel (Ron) Vanlandingham of Monticello, and Pam (Bob) Collins of Jerome; one brother, Ted (Mina Bea) Beatty of Ft. Worth, Texas, 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. at Watson Baptist Church in Watson with Rev. Larry Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow at Watson Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
