A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who duct-taped the mouth of a dog and abandoned the dog it in Drew County.
Drew County deputies Tuesday night were called to Deeper Green Road, off the Tennessee Spur Road, located on U.S. 278 West where the caller saw a reddish-colored pit bull dog. The dog’s mouth had been taped closed with red duct tape. The dog appeared to be malnourished but was not aggressive, according to a news release from the Drew County Sheriff’s Office.
Anyone who has information about the person or persons responsible for the cruelty to the dog is asked to call Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober or Chief Deputy Brian Slaughter at 870-367-6211.
