Rickey Lee Lewis, 55, of Monticello passed away at his home on Monday, February 12, 2018.
He was born on December 14, 1962 to the late Catherine Anne Batts Lewis and the late Ridgell Collins.
Mr. Lewis attended school at Monticello. He dedicated his life to God at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Paul Everett, Sr. He was employed by Chapman Lawn Service, where he worked for more than 20 years until his health failed. He loved his job in lawn care, working puzzles, music, and playing with his nephews, nieces, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Larar Lewis, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory a son that he raised as his own, Martanious D’Shaun Cox of Little Rock; six brothers, Mark (Annette) Batts of Austin, Texas, Keith (Catrena) Lewis of Monticello, Rodney Lewis of Dumas, Larmar (Diane) Lewis of Fordyce, Anthony Lewis of Monticello and Marcus Withers of Little Rock; five sisters, Wanda (Charles Montgomery of Texarkana, Texas, Shelia (Charles) Lee, Vanessa (Tommy) Daniels and Kandice Lambert all of Monticello, Millicent Gillespie of California and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Friday, February 16 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Brooks Chapel Cemetery.
