Robert Jean Lott, Sr., 85, of Eudora, died on November 3, 2014 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi.
Mr. Lott graduated from high school in Forest, Mississippi in 1946 and joined the United States Navy. He attended Business School in Jackson, Mississippi. He worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and later, Texas Gas Transmission Corporation. He loved to fish, hunt, carve wood, and work in the garden.
He was very community minded and was an active member of the Eudora Baptist Church were he served in many capacities, including deacon for 50 years.
Robert and his wife Mabel were married for sixty five year. Robert was very community oriented. He was a very active member at Eudora Baptist Church where he served in many capacities. He was a deacon for over fifty years.
Mr. Lott was born at Forest, Mississippi on April 7, 1929 and was the son of the late Lanius and Mamie Windham Lott.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, W.L. Lott, Jack Lott, and Billy Lott and his sister, Mozell Warren.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mabel Cook Lott of Eudora; sons, Bobby Lott and wife, Tammy of Hazen, AR, Mike Lott and wife, Julie of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jay Lott and wife Nancy of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Julie Sorg, Lee Jernigan, Beau Lott, and Rossi Lott; great-grandchildren, Lane, Paige, Kaitlyn, Maddie, and Logan; host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be November 5 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Eudora Baptist Church in Eudora. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Revs. Jeff Tarver and Jimmy Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
