Robert Owen Trout, 87, of Star City passed away on October 25, 2018 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired banker and trader, a member of First Baptist Church of Star City, and a 4-year veteran of the Korean War with the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of North Little Rock Old Main High School, attended Little Rock Junior College (now the University of Arkansas at Little Rock), and attended S.M.U. School of Banking in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Trout was born on September 15, 1931 at Little Rock to the late Samuel Owen and Lillian Augusta Staples Trout.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death was a son, Jason Robert Trout.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Wilma Burge Trout of Star City; a daughter, Robin Kaye Trout of Star City; a son, Adam Owen Trout of North Little Rock; a granddaughter, Savannah Kaye Trout of Fayetteville; his cat, Gracie; and always considered Kay Fish of Rogers and Amber McKinzie of Hot Springs Village to be part of his family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. First Baptist Church in Star City. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Elwin Ollar, Bro. Marcus Rogers and Bro. Dennis Dodson officiating church. Burial will be at Drake Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mark Mallard, Kevin White, Jeff Ratterree, Sam McBryde, Jeff Frizzell and Robert Smith Floyd. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Davidson, Frank Collins, Kenneth Weast and Joe Mason.
