Robert Theodore Baker, 100, of Dermott, died on August 14, 2017.
He was born April 8, 1917 in Yell County, Arkansas to the late Robert Ashley Baker and Nela Taylor Baker.
Mr. Baker was a member of Baker Hunting Club and Baker Brothers Quartet. He was a member of McGehee Church of Christ.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ophelia Baker; two brothers, Leon Baker and Raymond Baker; two sisters, Verdell McDonald and Verneal Allison; a grandson, Earl King Long, Jr.; and a son-in-law, Earl King Long, Sr.
Survivors include his son, Bobby (Gloria) Baker of Arkansas City; a daughter, Virginia (Jerry) Tefteller of Tillar; two brothers, Alfred (Pat) Baker of Tillar and Lyndell Baker of Monticello; a sister, Laverne Chance of Enola, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Steven (Angel) Baker, Lorrie Long (Rusty) Meggs, Renee Long (Dick) Baxter, Jennifer Long (Shawn) Simmons, and Kerry Baker (Allen) Evans; 10 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, August 18 at the McGehee Church of Christ in McGehee. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Minister Rickey Eppes officiating. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery.
