Ronald “Ronnie” Boardman, 77 of Star City passed away March 23, 2022 at Heart of Hospice in Fort Smith.
He was born January 7, 1945 in Conway to the late George Milton and Bertha Bishop Boardman. He was a truck driver for Boardman, Inc. and attended Star City Assembly of God. Ronnie enjoyed making people laugh, watching westerns, mowing the grass, and was a car enthusiast.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Nobles Boardman, who he married May 30, 1986; son, Rusty Boardman; two brothers, Kenneth Boardman and Judson Boardman; and a sister, Jenny Mullins.
Survivors include a son, Richard “Richie” (Sarah) Boardman of Ozark; three daughters, Debbie (Chuck) Allison, Megan Boardman, and Abbey (Tiffany) Boardman, all of Star City; three brothers, Buddy Boardman of Little Rock, Larry (Kathy) Boardman of East End, and Gerald (Jo) Boardman of Star City; sister, Anna Anderson of El Paso; six grandchildren, Cody Allison, Audrey Echlin, Eli Munnerlyn, Avery Boardman, Julia Boardman, and Amelia Boardman; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 27, at 3 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Chapel. Visitation is Sunday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Amy’s Animal Rescue, PO Box 184, Star City, AR 71667.
