Roxie Sue McWilliams, 83, of Lake Village, passed away on November 29, 2014 at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village.
Mrs. McWilliams was a former owner of Lake Village Dry Cleaners and
formally worked at the Garment Factory. She was a member of Lake Village Presbyterian Church and was a devout Christian.
Her passion was caring for her family. She was a caregiver and took care of many of her family members. She loved flowers and loved to garden.
Mrs. McWilliams was born on December 1, 1930 at Fort Smith and was the daughter of the late James W. and Rosie Alice Walter Ford.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, D.C. McWilliams; her daughter, Sheila Hudson; brothers, Delmar Ford, Frank Ford, Donald Ford, Robert Ford, James “Buster” Ford and sister, Iona Ford Erwin.
Survivors include her daughter, Juanita MacDonald and husband, Augustus of Gloucester, MA; brothers, Jerry Ford of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Steve Ford of Seattle, Washington; sister-in-laws, Shirley Parsons and husband, Phillip of Candor, North Carolina, Katherine Mantooth of Little Rock, and Gusta Tice; grandchildren, Jody Hudson, Michelle Manning, Scott MacDonald, and Tamara MacDonald; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on December 3 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village.
Graveside Services will be held on December 4 at 10 a.m. at Lake Village Cemetery in Lake Village with Pastor Kay Childs-Travis officiating.
A memorial service will be held immediately following the graveside service at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Village.
