Ruby Ann Vance Marter, 81, of Collins, passed away on June 4, 2018, at her home.
She was born October 12, 1936, in Collins to the late John Davis Vance and Cora Sasser Vance.
She was the widow of Robert Devon “Buddy” Marter, retired from Monticello School System, member of the Assembly of God Church in Dermott, food service provider for children, a minister, a singer of gospel songs and mentor for many upcoming ministers.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Morris of Eros, Louisiana; Melissa England and husband Ronald of Wilson, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Marter of Monticello; one sister, Mary Lou Wallack of Monticello; six grandchildren, Amanda Hudson (Shayne); Andrea Proffitt (Jesse); Angela England (Kerry); Anna Ellis (Randy); Bud England (Jordan); Ashley Morris (fiance Shane); and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A very special thank you to her special niece, Lesa Cain and James and Dyanne Vance for their constant love and care for all they did for our family.
