Ruby Irene Wells Glover, 93, of Star City, passed away on June 16, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her children.
She was born on November 21, 1923 in Missouri to the late, J.P. and Etta Mallory Wells. She was also preceded by her husband, Bennie T. Glover; two sons, Benny Glover Jr. and Danny Wayne Glover; three sisters, three brothers, and a daughter-in-law, Jenny McNeil Glover.
She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years, and was a retired seamstress for Levi Strauss.
Survivors include, three daughters, Gloria (Tom) Lamb of Star City, Frances Eason of Russellville and Sandra (Joe) Menna of Haughton, Louisiana; a son, Bobby (Laura) Glover of Tamo; a sister, Ruth Glover Wimberley of Pine Bluff; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Other survivors include two daughters-in-law, Charlotte Glover and Janette Glover, both of Pine Bluff.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 19, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church near Glendale (Lincoln County) with Bro. Tom Lamb and Bro. Martin Lamb officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1 p.m. until funeral time at the church. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tommy Lamb, Joe Wayne Vinson, Robert Lamb, Scotty Glover, Todd Glover, Jeff Glover, Wesley Lamb and Gary Glover. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Glover and Joshua Vinson. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
